
Lesley Bratch appointed to the Board of the Jersey Care Commission.
Lesley Bratch has been appointed to the Board of the Jersey Care Commission for a term of 3 years, commencing on 01 October 2021. Lesley lives in St Brelade and has been involved in representing the interests of carers in Jersey for many years.
She is a founding member of the Special Needs Advisory Panel (SNAP). During her involvement with SNAP, since 2013, Lesley has campaigned for a change in the Law to benefit families caring for children with a disability.
Lesley has been involved in local charities, promoting the interests of people with a disability and their carers, including Enable Jersey and the Youth Inclusion Project.
She is a carer, providing support for her daughter who has a learning disability and complex health needs. She is passionate about supporting islanders who are in receipt of services and recognises the many challenges facing care providers.
Welcoming Lesley’s appointment, Glenn Houston, Chair of the Commission said ‘Lesley will bring her particular knowledge and experience of using local services, which will be of immense value to the Commission in setting its priorities for regulation of services in Jersey.’
